What We Believe
At Beacon Assembly of God, our faith is built on the unchanging truth of God’s Word and the transforming power of Jesus Christ.
- The Bible — The inspired and only infallible and authoritative written Word of God.
- One God — There is one God, eternally existent in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
- Jesus Christ — We believe in His deity, virgin birth, sinless life, miracles, vicarious and atoning death, bodily resurrection, ascension to the right hand of the Father, and His personal future return to earth in power and glory to rule a thousand years.
- The Blessed Hope — The rapture of the Church at Christ’s coming.
- Salvation — The only means of being cleansed from sin is through repentance and faith in the precious blood of Christ.
- Regeneration — Regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential for personal salvation.
- Water Baptism — We practice water baptism by immersion.
- Healing — The redemptive work of Christ on the cross provides healing of the human body in answer to believing prayer.
- The Holy Spirit — The baptism in the Holy Spirit, according to Acts 2:4, is given to believers who ask for it.
- Sanctification — By the indwelling power of the Holy Spirit, the believer is enabled to live a holy life.
- Eternity — We believe in the resurrection of the saved and the lost, the one to everlasting life and the other to everlasting damnation.
